I was a straight D student in high school… I barely passed. Today, I run a million-dollar-plus business (for the fifth year in a row).
Up until I was 12 or 13, I was a huge nerd and always into learning.
But then puberty hit, and suddenly, I just couldn’t sit still in class anymore.
I remember constantly thinking:
"The world is so big and interesting… why am I sitting here learning things I don’t care about?"
My brain couldn’t understand why teachers were forcing me to learn something I had zero interest in.
I didn’t realize back then that school wasn’t about learning.
It was just the easiest way to get people in line.
Somehow, I managed to pass. But after that?
I failed miserably at job after job.
Until I found entrepreneurship.
And at 25, I hit my first $1M in revenue in a single year.
So… was I a genius? No. Absolutely not.
I just found an environment that forced me to bring out my inner genius.
And that’s something we all have.
